Qualified students Qualified students continue their six years of Secondary studies, i.e., Sec 1 to Sec 6. The curriculum for Sec 1 and Sec 2 classes includes Myanmarsar, English, Mathematics, Science, History, Geography, Information Technology and Coding, Health & Fitness and Music (Music Technology, General Music, Choir, Myanmar Music, Orchestra. Music, both vocal and instrumental, Secondary 2 is offered as an optional subject after school hours. Thai is offered as an optional subject.
Secondary 3 is a very challenging year for every student. The subjects include Myanmarsar, English, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics (Paper 1 and 2), Geography, History, Information Technology, and Health & Fitness. Thai is offered as an optional subject.
The School offers a wide range of educational programmes so that students receive a well-balanced education between science and arts subjects as well as have a greater choice of options when they come to Secondary 4. Students will be dealing with Myanmarsar, English, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (Pure Maths Paper 1, Paper 2 and Maths B Paper 1 and Paper 2), Myanmar Geography, Myanmar History and Health & Fitness. The optional subjects are Biology, Accounting, Economics, Computing Studies, ICT, Geography, History and Business Studies.
The course includes a lot of field studies, projects and practicals. Some lessons are taught through videos and computer-based learning programmes, allowing the teachers to base their lessons on a variety of topics that the students have not experienced. This all leads to a wider scope of knowledge, at the same time guiding the students to develop fresh opinions and thoughts.
Secondary 4 is a crucial year where students are thoroughly prepared for the IGCSE Examinations held annually in May. Students who have completed the IGCSE Examinations successfully can attend Sec 5 and Sec 6 programmes which aim at facilitating and preparing students for entry into universities across the world.
In Secondary 5, students study Oriental Studies, English Language, English Literature, Pure Maths Paper 1 and Paper 2, World History and Social Science Myanmar, World Geography and Social Science Myanmar, ICT, Health & Fitness and Music Appreciation / Visual Arts. There will be optional subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Statistics 1, Mechanic 1, Biology, Economic, Accounting, Business Studies, Further Pure Maths 1.
The subjects for Secondary 6 are Oriental Studies, English Language, English Literature, (Pure Maths Paper 3, Pure Maths 4), World History and Social Science Myanmar, World Geography and Social Science Myanmar, ICT, Health & Fitness, and Music Appreciation / Visual Arts. The optional subjects are Physics, Chemistry, Statistics 2, Mechanics 2, Mathematics Decision 1, Biology, Economic, Accounting, Business Studies and Further Pure Maths 2.
